I’m a self-taught artist and have been drawing and painting for four decades. I’m interested in the process that creates a painting. Although it involves imagination, this process is affected by chance, so that when I begin a picture I have only a half-formed image of what the finished painting might look like. The completed piece only slightly resembles the image that I had in mind when I began it. I think of this as improvisation. Over the years that I’ve been painting, I’ve learned to trust the brush and the materials – to let them take the lead – and not to think too much about how it will end up . . . until I get to that end.
This is part of what makes painting interesting for me.

A Mexican painter who has managed to put in purely abstract work a very unique through the creation of particular colors that give great strength and impact to your work touch.
The author seeks to bring a point beyond abstract art by combining this technique with a job in high relief of pre-Hispanic culture, which he turned in its theme transforms in concept and reinforced with a new set of colors that the artist creates otherwise to highlight the meaning of each icon used in his work.

Since I was a kid I kept myself busy carving sticks into mini-sculptures, doodling during class, and drawing figures on the sidewalk with chalk. Having never received any formal art training, I have managed to teach myself the basics of painting and wood sculpture.
I have exhibited in a number of Galleries that include SITE Gallery, 440 Gallery, and Van Der Plas Gallery in New York City, Galleria Pall Mall in London, and Chie Gallery in Milan Italy. I was one of 20 finalists in 2019 as part of the “Art Takes Manhattan Competition.” My goal is to make the world a happier place through art.

Mandalena combines the classical with modernity, as she takes a timeless subject or topic and presents a modern rendition of it. She redefines and recreates a traditional idea, by imparting expression through brush strokes. She loves doing portraits and pays special attention to get a true likeness of the eyes as she firmly believes that our “eyes are the windows to our souls”. Her opinion is that the skillful use of the art isn’t only the attempt of reflection the reality but first of all, the most accurate devise of emotion.
Mandalena Wozniak Melissourgaki was born in Warsaw, the capital city of Poland but now she lives and works in Crete, Greece. From an early age, it was obvious that her biggest love is painting and she started participate to a lot of art competitions. She studied Fine Art at the Warsaw School of Art and then went on to get another degree in Multimedia Graphics. Trained in graphics art, she does illustrations, book covers, art installation and animation. A self-motivated and passionate artist, she paints in a variety of mediums- oils, pastels, charcoals, and works on various creative projects.

From the true and deep love to the art she teaches the sensibility of emotion and beauty to the new generation. Mandalena is an honorary member of Children’s Biennale and jury at Children’s Art Gallery in Greece. She believes that the art influences imagination and calmness and except that is the most universal language in the world.
Also, over the years she has been cooperated with the Archaeological Museum, located on Crete and until now she is making official and certificated copies of the most important artefacts and images from the Minoan Civilization collection.
Mandalena is a Jury committee president at the Aegean Arts International Festival on Crete and Honorary member of Biennale in Greece . In 2019, she participated to “The Folklore Museum” in Episkopi, in Palaiochora at Chania, to “Art Gallery Rome” in Rome, to in Zurich and to “ArtExpoProject” in Venice. Mandalena had a solo exhibition in the El Greco Museum. Furthermore, her work was published at the “The new Art Book 2019” from the Art Freaks Global.
In her last exhibition she presented an artwork collection which have shown the connection, but also the difference between the traditional and modern art. The goal of this collection was to pay attention on emotions which are the trait of modern art. Paintings were in couples, one was realistic and the other one was a description of feelings. Main part of the exhibition was dedicated to the metaphor of windows and the light pouring into the dark room. In her work she used different type of technique which influenced for different form of perception the same window. It was a theme which specially encouraged the reflection and made you think about the future.
This exhibition was the key to the imagination and was inviting the visitors to an amazing trip on their reflection.
Mandalena is an artist with a lot of great success and the last years her work was presented in few newspapers. I LIKE TO NOTICE THINGS: patterns of cracks on the street, colors of sprinkles scattered across the white icing on a doughnut, the texture of peeling bark. I try to use my brush to capture the tension between patterns, colors, and textures. If I am successful, those who view my work will feel the same joy I feel when creating it.

Michael Chomick was born in Vancouver, Canada, and is the fifth of 7 children of Andrew and Marisa Chomick.
His first introduction to the world of art-making came during the visits to the basement of the family’s home. This is where both of his parents practiced their hobbies of fine art-making through painting with oil, sculpting with clay, and/or colourful tile mosaics.
Michael Chomick was born in Vancouver, Canada, and is the fifth of 7 children of Andrew and Marisa Chomick.
His first introduction to the world of art-making came during the visits to the basement of the family’s home. This is where both of his parents practiced their hobbies of fine art-making through painting with oil, sculpting with clay, and/or colourful tile mosaics.
At the young age of 11 his parents decided to leave Canada and relocated the entire family to the Caribbean island nation of Barbados. During the two-year stint on the island this is where Chomick began his artistic career by writing and illustrating his own-brand of Super Hero comic books. These early comic books gave way to his current style and technique of painting and drawing – works that are derived from a mind-set of spontaneity, with no preconceived thought, and created from the subconscious.
Two years later, St. Petersburg, Florida became the artist’s next place of residency. There, after the completion of high school, he entered into the world of commercial art.
After 11 years in the aforementioned vocation, September, 1986, he altered his artistic direction and veered his creative force towards what has become his life’s mission – that of a thought-provoking visual artist.
The 30+ years Chomick has been experimenting and practicing his talents as a thought-provoking visual artist delving into a variety of mediums ranging from ink or graphite drawing to figurative oil painting to mixed media constructions.
In his many travels such as Japan, Europe, and the Americas (North, Central and South), in addition to places of residencies, such as Miami Beach, Florida; Austin, Texas; and now Los Angeles, California, Chomick has gathered inspiration and stimulation by such life experiences.
During Chomick’s career as an award winning contemporary artist his works have been exhibited both nationally and internationally in selected solo and group exhibitions.

i was born to be a painter therefore i am one. when i paint i feel invincible. i feel life flowing through me. i feel a like a fraud and i love myself. i feel horrible, great and delusional all at the same time. its wonderful.
with all that in mind i work as a programmer during the day. oh life, you cruel, blind son of a bitch.
i dream of the day when i will be able to wake up and go my own, separate way.
but then i wake up, look through the window to the other windows in front of me, listen to the birds chirping, eat my buckwheats and go on with my life.

in conclusion. i know what i am. and now, i guess, you do too. you can see me walking down the street, wearing the same damn thing every day. white shirts. blue jeans. talking about art and bob dylan with some randos and fellow programmers who’ll listen. you can imagine me laying in my bed at night anxious about my future, feeling as if everyone hates me just because i still haven’t found my place under the sun, quoting Allen Ginsberg under my nose and eating buckwheats. buckwheats. always buckwheats.
i hope thats enough. i hope i can consider you my friend now.
